Our Wyoming Mountain Lion Outfitter offers Lion hunts from the time frame of October through March. This is a very intense hunt, where physical conditioning cannot be stressed enough. We use six blue tick hounds for tracking Lions.
We have had a great success rate over the past years with only a few hunters going home empty handed (Some because the hunters passed on a lion or couldn't physically make it up to it!). You will have a good chance of getting on a big Tom which typically weighs around 150-165lbs. We've taken a few that have pushed 200lbs and over!
